Sian hasn't been right for a few days - was lethargic out on the gallops on wednesday, and not quite right thurs/fri, although not lame. Today he is quite lame, its his right forleg.
There is no heat or swelling that I can see in the foot, lower leg or any obvious injuries. He seems a little bit sore and slightly swollen around the lower shoulder and at the inside top of his leg (armpit?!)
I realise no one can make a dignosis on here, but does this sound like a pulled muscle, or anything anyone has experience of?
My plan is to leave him in tomorrow, if he is worse in the morning I will call the vet, if not I will wait till Monday.
I will also cold hose him and bandage to support the tendons... is there anything else I can do?
I will box rest tomorrow, but Im a bit worried because he doesnt like being stabled and can weave quite badly if he is distressed, i.e. if others go out and he doesnt, so worried this could make him worse... in which case would he be better off out, even for just a few hours?
Any advice would be most appreciated!
