My horse came in from field lame a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't really bad and he seemed happy, no heat, swelling etc. Left him in field to recover and kept close eye on him.
He is much much better now but still a little sore footed on hard ground and ever so slightly lame but only on the right rein.
It seems like its taking ages for him to get 100% better and I am now worried it is something else, rather than just sore foot/pulled muscle etc -or am I just being paranoid and impatient?
I gave him small amount of danilon tonight and will continue to do so for the next few days. If he goes back to being lame after that I will get the vet out.
Does anyone have similar experience or have any advice?
