Noticed on Friday my pony was slightly lame on his right fore (no more than 2/10ths in trot and sound in walk). Checked again today and no different. Farrier is coming out to have a look on Monday eve as he was only shod a week ago - should I turn him out as normal or box rest until then? He is not the type to charge around the field.
Thanks for any advice!

Turnout unless there is heat and swelling in the leg that could indicate a tendon injury. Nail bind or change in foot balance if only just shod are strong possibilities.

Thanks - there is no obvious heat/swelling anywhere on his leg, but was heat around the coronet band this morning, which had gone by the time he came in tonight. He had a nasty corn a few months ago on the same hoof so am wondering if it is related?

Just a quick thought...
Check his pulses. My yard has had a couple of mild colic cases due to the change in weather and the vet mentioned he has seen an unusual number of laminitis cases this week due to the warmer weather and new growth after the snow.
I am sure I am wrong but obviously if he has bounding pulses keep him in!!!
Bet its nail bind though
