Lame/sore after being shod

Mine was once, but i found after demanding the shoe be removed the farrier had burned his foot..

Hence, very angry owner and very sorry farrier!

we have a horse at the yard who goes lame every time he is shod.He went for xrays but nothing was found to be wrong so we have no answers as to why this happens.

This happens all the time with my boy, it usually lasts a day or two. My farrier and vet have looked at him and neither can find anything wrong. He must just have very sensitive feet.

Loan horse could get a bit 'footy' after being shod. This was usually because the shoes were on a little too tight for her.

My Freddy was always sore after the farrier. Poor lad was mucho buggered tho - so found everything difficult.

Thanks. It's only over the last year she has been footy after being shod. However yesterday she was quite lame and found turning difficult. Her feet have been growing so fast recently though, Farrier said he had cut them back quite a bit this time, so hopefully that's all it is
