It seems that everyone appears to be having problems lately!!
My horse has not been right for a few days but I cant seem to find anything obviously wrong. No swelling, no heat, no reaction to prodding and probing but still showing signs of lameness in off side fore.
I'm sure that it is muscular and think that it can be either 1 of 2 things, she wears a fly rug which slips back and does restrict her movement slightly which could be making her stiff or she has been stomping the ground with the same foot which is lame as the flies have been annoying her which may have caused a strain.
Exercise does not seem to improve things or make things worse, she will walk up fine and then all of a sudden be lame again.
I have decided to keep her in during the day and let her out at night so that she can go out without the fly rug on but am I better keeping her in all the time to rest it or letting her out to have some gentle exercise?
Sorry it's long - Cookies and wine if you get this far
