lameness / any experiences advice needed !!

very worried re my throuabred, he was treated iniatially for a ?abcess but nothing came from poultice, very lame, swelling in leg and very sore, vets given danilon, farrier checked all ok apparently, vet came and checked had thrush right deep down into clefts, farrier never picked this up !!, box rest and treated thrush, i blamed myself that i did not notice the thrush and he is on rubber mtting plus fresh shavings, mucked out 3x aday felt very gulity !!, vets back out again the other day infection doing well still lame, new farrier to reshoe, was sensitive when hoof tested but not a great deal, no sign of any abcessess, recheck next week if still lame possibly will have more investigations, i just hope that it is down to him being a throughabred and having crap feet and also sore due to infection, he is such a sweet little horse and really tries for you, any help suggesstions much appreciated thanks xxxx :(
