im now in a flap. my horse is not right behind and my vet cannot come out for a week!! the horse does not appear to be in pain but is stiff and not completely comfortable...

there is no heat or swelling anywhere, no obvious lameness in one leg but possible bilateral in his hind legs as he appears stiff behind and isnt flexing his hocks that well when moving. he is really overflexing the back legs when he first moves off and also bending them far more than normal or barely at all on tight turns. He doesnt like walking down or up hills and is very lazy but doesnt appear to actually be in pain as his ears are forwards and he will go forwards if you chase him up a bit but without any grumpiness. He is perfectly happy on the flat, in straight lines and on large circles.

He has been out with some new horses and i know he has both been kicking out with both back legs and has probably been kicked in both as well despite my best efforts.

ive had so many conditions thrown at me in the last few days im stumped. stringhalt, locking stifles, spavin, suspensorys, mild laminitis. he's only 4 and im rather worried. advice please peeps....

I agree with scotsmare , dont panic too soon you have probrably answered your own question concerning kicking, my mare went lame recently and I panicked thinking all sorts and she came right in a week , front leg prob bruising but I was really worried and it came to nothing no vet called , have you got any bute? give him some and see how he is in a couple of days

try some arinca tablets give 3 morning and night for 3 days and cold hose morning and night and apply witch hazel to the bit you thing aint right that should bring down any bruises knocks or sprains!
