The last 2 days my boy has been very slightly lame on a circle on the right fore in trot. He's sound in straight lines but on cirlces and tight turns he is slightly lame. I've noticed a new lump on the right fore just below the knee on the outside, not sure if this is a splint?? There is no heat or swelling that I can find. What do you think I should do and has anyone else had experience in this? X

Did you have any soft swelling associated with it? Just wondering as one of ours came in with a lump that has not resolved...but has what feels likea fluid sack under it. no heat. no sensitivity but has now started to become slightly lame after "spooking" on a hack.

Im taking her to the vet tonight to be scanned but just wondering...

Mine didn't have any soft tissue swelling or heat at all. Just what looked like a very big hard splint. The lameness was very intermittent and low level. When we had it x-rayed there were lots of bone chips and a very ugly fracture.

The scan will reveal all! Hope it is ok.
