Lameness

Hello

Just after a bit of advice really. My mare is sound in walk and trot in a straight line, sound in walk and trot on her left rein, sound in walk on her right rein but lame in trot! There was a slight bit of heat in her right foot on Sunday but I put that down to being a little foot sore after the farrier. She's been in all week (on bute) too.
There's no heat in her shoulder either...
I'll be calling the vet today but just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar...

I expect that she's either got nail bind or an abcess brewing - and your best cause of action would have been to have the farrier straight back after she went lame after his visit.

I expect your vet will take the shoe off and ask you to poultice for a few days.
