Hi I would appreciate any advice please.
I bought a horse five weeks ago, the first couple of times I rode him everything was fine but as I'm quite nervous I decided to take him to my instructors yard for a week to get to no him/bond/ride in the school etc. so on day one I got his saddle checked when I got on board I realised he felt lame to which my instructor agreed. I thought he must have hurt himself getting out of the box. However the lameness has gradually got worse it almost looks like his hip is dropping on one side. He also wind sucks really badly!! His personality has changed slowly also wherever he wants to go he goes dragging me behind him!! Anyway I took him to the vets on Saturday and they did the deflection test and then put him on a circle, on the right rein his legs were all over the place he looked like a foal that had just been born learning to walk!!
So far the vets have nerve blocked each leg but nothing has improved the next step is scanning. I have contacted the previous owner and surprise surprise he never did any of this before!! My concern is the horse being in pain and if I can fix him I will any response gratefully received
