Hi my horse has been intermittently lame for a couple of years, she’s had nerve blocks, scans and X-rays only a mild case of arthritis, she still want right so we sent her for MRI, and it’s come out that’s she’s got a small tear on her lateral collateral ligament, but I’ve been told this is an new injury on top of an old injury, she’s currently having 6 months off maybe longer depending on how she is although she doesn’t seem to bad with it, just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this and did the horse recover from it ?? Did they return to normal work ?? Or did they have to be retired ??
Thanks

I’m not much help as I have no direct experience, though I have heard that ligaments will take a long time to heal ie about 6 months. Bumping this for you so others with more experience of it might see it.
