Lami?

Can you leave him in with her, in the same box? It may help both of them. If they get on well, lack of space shouldn't bee too much of a problem unless they can't even turn round :)

You have been watchful and caught it early. Well done, don't beat yourself up.

He really needs to be out as much at possible otherwise he gets all stiff and breathy, i will have to be hard with him as he has other horses in the field and she always has company while in the box. Plus i would not trust her to boot him if the mood came over her!!!

p.s. These are not ponies, the old guy is 16.2hh and the mare is about 15hh.

I am definately going to ask if i can get the soil in the field analysed.

Allover - hope your mare gets on ok.

I had the vet on friday morning for my pony, he has got laminitis too. :( Luckily we have caught it early, so he is in a little paddock, much to his digust!!!

I hope yours gets on OK too.

My lass is doing OK, much sounder today so vet back on tues am to have a look and make a decision about turn out, she is getting a bit fed up!
