Laminitis? SOS

Thank you so much everyone! I am delighted with him this AM! I just dared to give him a proper soundness look and he looks brilliant, his floaty trot is back and I can’t see anything. Hopefully not just Adrenalin because his paddock is small so he can’t muck around much but he just looks so much better.

And his attitude is totally Atlas!

Amazing really. I had a connie when I was 13. She came in on 3 legs one day. Farrier nor vet could see what issues were. This was 50 odd years ago.
Turned out it was an abscess, came out heel bulb 8 days later. It was in the days before mobile x rays. No vet hospitals close by. No transport. But it was an abscess.
Onwards and upward in California. X

Oh @Michen so sorry to hear the ginger one is testing your stress levels again. Was late to the party but so thrilled to get to the last page and see he seems to be recovering well. Look after yourself xx

I'm another who was (very) late to this thread. Numerous times while catching up I was dreading clicking to the next page, so I'm incredibly happy to see that it's been good news! Hope things have continued to go your way ❤️

Hi! Thank you so much! He's doing really well. Looks great on his feet, I'd say he's about 80% as annoying as he was :D

Photos in his new home incoming when I move him to his mid term “recovery” barn today. And he meets… the pig. 🐽

Here he was having a little ten min walk to the pond yesterday morning.

Atlas' face in the first pic is like "ooohhh Mom what's this here in my run? Can I play with it please? I'm going to go say hi!"

Love how curious he is about things - it's nice when they think things through before deciding to leg it into the next county, leaving you hanging on like Kermit the frog 😅

I'm so pleased he pulled through - he looks like such a diamond ❤️
