Laminitis?!

Hello,

I was visiting a friend of mine a few days ago. She has an 11 month old foal.
The foal seems happy and doesn't show any signs of pain.

However, I did notice an odd patch on his hooves that reminded me of laminitic rings.

The foal lives in a green pasture and receives grain twice daily.

Can anyone please let me know whether my diagnose was true or not, and whether the foal needs to see a vet?

No, they look fine to me. A foals hooves change a lot over the first two years. There is nothing to suggest laminitis to my eyes.

My 8 month old foal has a huge ridges in her front feet..It is because of her going from grass/weaned to stabled at night with Haylage and a small amount of youngstock pellets.
