land/stables/livery wanted in Devon

We are ideally looking for a farm type set up to rent, but a house with land would also be great or just land to rent for farming or if not over 25 acres just enough for to 2 horses.
(stables a bonus) or if all else fails a small livery around Exeter that caters for individual paddocks.
Any help or ideas would be great.
 
Presuming you tried all the obvious sources, like Stags, Husseys, Symonds and Samson etc? Think this type of place prob tends go through an Agency or similar so no problems with the tenancy etc and so theowner/seller gets best price. Good luck hunting, the places are out there but going for fair money. Hope you find what you are looking for. Several small bits of land for sale and rent near Sidmouth - may be possible to link it with a house? Only thoughts x
 
HI Have you found land in Devon yet? If not I may be able to help, my stables, arena and land have just gone on the market.
 
Whereabouts in Devon would you like to be? Have a look at adverts in Wychanger Barton Saddlery, Mole Valley (Cullompton), Town and Country (Broadclyst) and Mole Avon (Okehampton). I have seen some ads for small yards to let -what size do you need and I'll look out for you.
 
You need to get the Western Morning News Saturday property edition and even the Friday Equestrian one, Stags have some advertised and the other week ther were at least 5 yards for sale.
You might also contact the Duchy, they may well have a farm on a long lease available.
Property has almost kept it's value re prices in Devon I'm afraid, but there are yards, I know of one in Bovey Tracey for sale, does your house have to be on site or would up the road do?
Some areas are way cheaper than others too, places like Crediton tend to be cheaper as do some round Okehampton/Tavistock out towards the moors, basically the nearer you get to Exeter the higher the price goes.
Have you any preferences what area? Devon's pretty big !
 
Our situation has changed abit since this thread first started and we are now ideally looking for land to rent over 25 acres in the exeter and down as far as newton abbot or a farmhouse and land to rent somewhere in S.Devon. We are checking Western Morning news and estate agents and council/national trust farms. If anyone knows of anything please let me know. Thanks
 
theres some fields in bridford that are empty no idea who owns them but can direct you to people that did have them, i dont think are any stables there though just fields and on hills
