Operation 'keep the ponies at home' has failed miserably 48 hours in.

Despite our garden being well fenced with a thick hawthorn hedge as well the shitlands got out tonight.

We spent an hour running round the paddock next to the house trying to catch them after they decided to join the neighbours horses for a hooly :o

I was wetting myself laughing when OH got fed up of the nicey nicey approach and ended up throwing himself on one of the little blighters, cowboy stylee! :D I really haven't seen anything as funny for a long time!

A friend arrived with a feed bucket and caught the other one and we decided to give up on operation 'keep the ponies at home' and took them back to the field!

Well, it whiled (sp) away an evening I suppose!

It was very impressive, shitland was flying past him at full gallop, OH chose his moment and threw himself at said shitland, wrestling him to the ground while deftly putting on headcollar! I wish I had had a camera handy!

Lol, that would have been an absolutely classic video. Can you let the little beasties out again so OH can do a re-enactment? ;)

Lol they are so much fun. Mine got out once alongside my youngster when was trotting my mare up for vet so vet had to tackle shetland to catch whilst i got youngster. Got to love them for it!

Aw bless!!
Haha, they always think they've got something to prove! ;)
funny thought of your OH having to wrestle shetland to the ground! Please reenact when you have recovered!! :D
