We went to our second ever PC rally today - it was very fun, and we jumped! A double! And a triple! This might not seem like a big thing, but the last time I jumped a double was ~7 years ago and it ended quite badly for me and was the beginning of me stopping riding for a few years. Pony was a superstar; this was the third time she'd ever jumped and, despite some wiggly baby moments, she went so well. :D

For those that don't know, Lanky Cob is a rising 4-yr-old Sec D, about 15.1hh. I am 20, and 5ft5 but all leg.

This could be such a good photo if I wasn't doing my 'agg, ****' face.

I am finding though that she gets very very strong when riding in a group - I spent most of the time circling to try and get control back, though the fact that she has a massive trot doesn't really help this. I have the same problem out hacking so am avoiding trotting with the group and either go in front or stay walking at the back and trot to catch up when everyone's gone on a bit. She's currently ridden in a NS Starter Bit - no flash/martingale/anything else. I've tried a Micklem and she hated it, and she's accepting the contact very nicely at the moment so I don't want to make too much of a radical change. Any bit suggestions? I had literally no brakes at points today, which did make things a little hairy.
