Hi all,
Have just realised that my horses vaccination for Flu/Tetanus has lapsed. Just wondered if she is still covered against the tetanus because the booster for this is every 1-2 years whereas the flu is annually? I didn't know if it makes a difference with the injection being for both rather than just the tetanus if that makes sense!? (probably not!).

If the tetanus was done last year, then yes - your horse is covered for that, but not flu (from an official point of view) One of the vaccines - Equip (i think) covers tetanus for 3 years.

so if you compete (and therefore will have to restart) then you will only need to have flu for the first two injections to get things right again, and depending on when you were due, you will be ok to arrange the jab to have the tetanus when your horse has the 3rd one.

hope that makes sense !!
