Large Bit

I'm despritaly (sp) trying to find a 6.5inch or 7 inch three ring gag, would prefer a french link, but dont mind, does any one know where i can get one.

i cant imagine you'll get one would never have thought a horse could have suck a large mouth no offence to horse i bet he's lovely but the shop i work in can only get a 6.25 from our suppliers and there are only a few at that

i know, but he is not far of 18hh, and is pure bre cleveland bay, and a pain to get tack, rugs, boots to fit

There are 6.5" out there, I've seen a fair few, I just can't remember where, sorry

My boy is an 18.1hh shire - so I feel your pain. I envy people who can walk into a tack shop and buy stuff that actually fits their horse!
My boy takes a 6.5" bit (They do exist JenTaz!), and bought his bit from Frogpool manor. Was quite cheap as well (About £14 bit + p&p), but did take a while to arrive. Hope this helps.

thank you so much for all replys. So unfair, would really like to walk in a tack shop, and they have want large horses need, instead of waiting. Another place that does the some big bits is drangfly saddlery.
So happy as new bit is now on it way, and i can start to ride him, get him fot and ready for the season ahead

How on earth does my 16.2 ISH have a 6.5/6.75 bit ?? (it came with him) I am beginning to think she may have meant 5.75

Bash is only 15.3 but takes a 6" bit. I had to have his cheltenham gag specially made at a cost of £60!

Sidney needs a 6" to 6.5" bit (ShirexTB) Neue Schule used to make them that big, but I think have stopped doing them

Someone once told me that Abbey Bits will make them to order, but I have never checked that out myself. Jess with Pickle would probably be able to tell you where to find one, as Pickle is a draft cross.
