found some rub marks on the join between the browband and head piece on my big mare so decided that i needed to get a new browband...

well took my piece of string and measured her forehead...then measured the string..... and it came out at 18INCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so by the time i add the inch either side so it has enough room...

well where can i find a 20" browband that will suit a jefferies bridle in black....has to be relativly cheap but look smart. this must be an xx (or x) large!:o

and is her forehead abnormally large? noseband could cob size (both over the head piece and the noseband...but check pieces are full size)....odd horse!!!!!!

Sign of a good brain I expect.

There are saddlers who will sell / make parts of a bridle separately. I have to get extra wide browbands for my horses and I think last time I did this I just googled extra wide browband and managed to find something.

Also IMHO bridles are made with browbands too small as a rule!!

My mare is exactly the same- tiny tb head that needs a cob size cavesson; but a 20 inch brownband required for her fat head :o

I got a black sabre one that is plain but if no joy with these then perhaps look at a made to measure from fylde saddlery or similar?
I really want a slightly bling-y one but struggle to find any in over 17inches which are obviously a a no-go!

I know where you're coming from with this! I have a 14.2 highland who takes a 18in brow band. An XX full! I had one made to fit by a local saddler which fits and looks great as well and preventing annoying ear pinching which was causing some head shaking.
