one of the horses on the yard had a huge lump come up on outside of his Hock yesterday it was a bit squigy and fluidy !

Today it is rock solid - there is no heat and he is totally sound on it !! we have proded it to and no reaction

Anyone any ideas?

Horse isnt being excercised as much due to girl doing A Levels but still on quite a high protein diet ( I would of though if this was the case it would of stayed squigy though) !!

Is it in the dip to the side of the point of the hock? I'd be thinking thoroughpin. My horse has a matching pair, quite small ones I suppose, and they have never caused any problems at all.
