I thought I would harness the power of the HHO collective brain to find me a riding helmet. I currently have a Charles Owen MyPS. I’ve only had it a year and already the liner has fallen out once. Charles Owen very kindly sent me new sticky dots but it hasn’t felt the same since and I no longer think it fits well.

I have seen some lovely hats including Antares, Uvex etc but they just don’t go big enough to fit my massive head (60cm!) if anyone has any recommendations for other brands apart from Charles Owen I’d be very grateful. Bonus points if the hat is also well ventilated and vaguely stylish.

I'm in the massive head club also. i have a Champion air tech deluxe in large (its adjustable so the size is 59cm-61cm). Super comfy hat, with good ventilation and removable liner so it can be washed. It also doesn't make my massive head look overly massive which helps on the style front. A lot of people don't seem to like adjustable hats with a dial at the back but I find I can get better fit for when my hair changes or when the hat gets worn in.

Thanks so much, I have had a champion in the past but used to go through them fairly regularly once the lining got squished. The adjustable dial sounds like a good fix for that!

I have two very good friends who both have large heads, the one with the quite large head looks superb in a Kask (it’s bizarre how big her head is, she really doesn’t look like it is that big haha) and my other friend is a KEP convert

Thanks - in the end my saddler brought one of hers to the yard and I was able to try it on. It is a One K and comes with an adjustable air cushion which should hopefully mean it lives a bit longer! My next plan was to see if I could get fitted for a Kask so maybe I’ll try that next time!

I take a 61cm hat (convinced myself it's all to do with brain size - like a horse, I have a big head and a small brain :p:p)

Never had an issue finding hats. Currently have Gatehouse and Champion. Charles Owen don't fit me. I refuse to pay silly money for hats so don't look at those which are £200+ as it's all bling and marketing rather than safety.

My RDA was donated a number of 60cm+ new Champion hats. If anyone is interested, please PM me as they are up for sale and will be very reasonable. I can check sizes next week when I'm there for my volunteering shift.
