My horse came in from the field with a giant hock on Tues morning. The vet came and gave her some bute, since when I have struggled to get her to eat it in her feed. I've borrowed a large syringe off someone else at the yard which is brilliant but I want to get one of my own, its really sturdy and has its own little box and I suppose its designed exactly for this use. Where on earth can I get one? I've hunted on ebay and google and can't find anything. I suppose I could ask the vet but I'll have to go and collect from their practise which is a 1.5 hour round trip so I'd rather not if I can get one posted! Though I guess they might send me one if I ask nicely. I do remember having one once but I can't remember where it came from and I recall it got bitten in half by a particularly difficult patient!

Any ideas would be great - thanks.:)

Countrywide do things like this, or go to your local vets, you could mix with icing sugar and water if your horse is able to eat sugar.

You could ask for Danilon next time seems more paletable, my horse eats it daily

I got some from my local pharmacy, they were for giving enemas I think. They had a load returned from a patient (unused!!) and were more than happy to give me them for dosing my pony
