Just been reading about a few of you that were out hacking this morning at 8.am! I am much more of an owl than a lark but what do you prefer?

First thing of a morning for me. Been out before 9am the last three mornings. Just love being out with my mare as the world is waking up.

Lark, definitely a lark.

I'm up at 4am every morning, and have no problem with that. Ask me to stay up past 8pm though and you're in trouble.

ETA - by 8am this morning I had mucked out the whole yard, turned out, hayed in the fields, smashed ice on troughs, walked the dogs and ridden one.

Lark me, much more productive between 6am and 9am than any other time of the day.

Luckily for me OH is an owl so we work well together as he starts jobs at 8pm when I'm fit for nothing!

Think I am naturally an owl, not at my best first thing in the morning but I do agree that a hack is best first thing when no one else is on the roads - I just have to motivate myself to get out of my nice cosy bed!

twit twit twit-twoooo

I just prefer nights. Get more work done later on, more efficient, less grumpy. Mornings are not my friend

Wow. Impressive. I am a lark but as I live with an owl I have to limit my lark ness and there is no going to bed early, if I do it is broken sleep anyway....

I am 100% a lark, I do not have masses of sleep in general, I fell asleep some time after midnight last night, and was up and down the yard not long after 8. I do usually go to bed a bit earlier but I do love to get up early and get cracking with stuff. If I ride early it means I can come home in good time and get on with lots of other stuff at home, been painting the garden shed which is yet to be assembled and levelling and clearing the ground ready for gravel to then put the shed and greenhouse on :D
I am as others have said most productive in the morning :D

Pure Owl here! No point going to bed before midnight as I won't sleep anyway and am much more productive late afternoon and through the evening!

I really struggle with this being a nurse- 7am starts are hell on earth for me- but having said that, I sail through night shifts!

I am most definitley an OWL. I can only just form a coherant sentance at 11am. Trying to comunicate with me before then is pointless!!
