Penfold is having his op. next Thursday. I am worried about what he will eat afterwards, any advice , I was thinking I should get in some lucerne nuts to soak. Has anyone had this done and how did it go.

Hi,
My mare had a laser hobday and tie back about a month ago. She is doing really well and touch wood not had problems with any of the side effects than can occur (i think they are more from the tie back than hobday tho.) She has been on her normal feed (just reduced as on box rest) and am just making sure that it is mixed well with some water. She is on dust free management so soaked hay etc. Vet did not tell me to feed her any different than normal but sure you can chat to your vet if your worried about feeding.

Thank you. Nottingham Vet school are doing it at my stables so I have not spoken to them as my vet arranged it. Just thought he might find it hard to swallow but you have reassured me . He is on paper bedding and haylage so should be dust free.
