last novice events

could i have your help / opinions please...... do you think 3 novices in a row is too much, haven't run masses this year (7 to date) but would like to do, bordehill, tweseldown and little downham. first two on my door step other along way away. my horse is well established at this level and is 11 years old.

I don't think it is too much providing the ground eases slightly which looks quite likely. If the ground stays firm then I would give one a miss.

I think it totally depends on your horse - I am entered in 3 in a row on my horse who has only just upgraded to novice, but he is so much better when run in quick sucession then given a break, so he's doing 3 in a row, then two weeks off, then finishing on a nice easy one. But he did nothing from half way through June right to the end of August, and is a master at energy conservation!!
