My last post was removed due bad language (used asterisks, but didn't realise not allowed - sorry if I offended anyone!).
Have been told I now bone cancer, scared witless about what the future holds :(
On the bright side my new neddy passed his vetting and is coming home on Saturday. Maybe mad to get one with chemo looming, but need an outlet. He is a 16hh h/w cob, daughter will ride him to start, I'll focus on combing his moustache :)

Oh Niddlynoo, I'm so sorry, I haven't seen any of your other threads so don't know your 'history' so to speak. Stay strong, enjoy the new horse, and I'm sure everyone on here will support you through thick and thin. Hugs ((((( )))))

Sorry to hear your news - but glad you have the ned!! Enjoy him and yes he will be an outlet and you deserve that. All the best and keep us posted.

New neddy could be just what you want! We all know what wonders for the mind body and soul these creatures can do. You comb that tash to perfection, and enjoy every second of him!!! Best wishes xxxxxxx

I am so sorry the thread was removed - surely it would have been more sensible just to remove the word?! I think in your shoes I would be saying some choice words too :( There was a post in Soapbox as a few people had noticed your post had gone.

Glad your new horse is on his way, and hope he can help your healing in his own way! Please use HHO as a resource, there is ALWAYS someone here to talk to, and there are a few forum members (or OH's) who are currently going through cancer battles of their own.

Really sorry to hear about your diagnosis. My dad was treated for prostate cancer a few years ago and then told he also had bone cancer. I'm pleased to say his medication is keeping it at bay and I'm delighted to say he's healthy and active :)

Congratulations on your new HW cob, I look forward to seeing photos when he's home.

Your chemo will soon be over and you can then concentrate on building yourself up again and spending some quality time with your new boy.

((((hugs)))

I'm sure new neddy will help you through any rubbish times, they are the best therapists after all. It's good that your daughter can help out with him lots, and he will have a wonderful moustachio with all the combing (we demand photos!)

Hope all goes well, stay strong and get lots of fresh air and warm cuddles... hrm, where to find those things now eh... ? ;)

Echo the above, and PM'd you. Getting out and doing just 'stuff' with horses, and fresh air, getting the sun on your face, all very important, so well done and hope the new ned has enough facial hair to keep you busy :D

I'm truly sorry to hear about your diagnosis :( I hope everything goes okay, I'm sending lots of hugs xxx

I'm looking forward to hearing updates about your new ned :) Do you have any pictures?

Oh my god, that's horrific! Thank goodness you'll have your horse to help keep you moving forward. You know you can always bleat on here if you ever need any support and kind words. We will definitely need updates on your lovely chap, please! Big hugs xx

So sorry to hear that, can't imagine what it must be like for you, so very sorry. You can sware at me whenever you want! I don't mind. Big hugs, huge infact.

Hey sorry re your diagnosis, and I also noticed ur thread disappear the other day. Good luck with treatment, stay strong and enjoy your horses every minute. They will be there for you and will support you through this. Please keep us updated xxx

Big hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxx sorry to hear that. You must be so scared!! Make sure you are getting all the support you can x

I did wonder what happened to the original post!
I did reply on the other thread to say I had taken on a youngster after a breast cancer diagnosis & managed to look after my other horse & new baby boy after surgery but whilst going through chemo. It is not easy but it certainly diverts your mind onto the horses. I hope they can manage your bone cancer successfully, things will get better.
PM me if you want a general moan.
Best wishes to you.

Well that's a pile of poops hunny.

Whatever your future holds, we'll be here for you, ready to hold a hand, provide a shoulder, or pass a mane comb.

Looking forward to pictures of The 'Tash!

Hugs.

I can only pass on my best wishes for a good outcome. Your new horse will be an important part of your therapy and HHO will, hopefully, provide some sort of outlet for you through your treatment.

Someone, somewhere, has a signature that reads along the lines of "My therapist has four legs."

Sorry to hear your diagnosis. There are lots of support groups online with chartrooms and forums and no doubt their members have experienced the shock and fear you have had. Might be worth having a 'chat' with some of them. Keep positive because bone cancer is one that treatment for is improving and the cure/survival rates are improving all the time.
Horsey will help take your mind off things, always a plus..
Keep your chin up.. It's been a terrible shock but you will get your head around it x

so sorry for your diagnosis and so pleased you are getting a new horse - he will be very therapeutic for you and offer a mane to cry into and a good listening ear. Sending good vibes to you as I am sure everyone reading this thread will be <<<<hugs>>>>

You could not ask for better therapy and refreshed raison d'etre than a new horse: I hope he gives you strength and brings a smile of the difficult months ahead 80) Best of luck fighting the beast m'dear: we're all behind you!

I don't like bad language but in some situations it is necessary and I think you are in one of those situations!!! Good luck with the new boy, I'm sure getting him will give you a much needed boost and focus for the future. You WILL beat this and Ozzy will help you along the way.

Aw my goodness! So sorry to hear that you are having a tough time. I think under the circumstances that you would be forgiven for swearing!
I am really pleased to hear about your new neigh neigh and I am sure he will be a tremendous help to you. Please keep us updated on how you are getting on.
I am sure that many of us will be here to support you on your road to recovery.
Good luck and many hugs
xx

Just to echo what others have said - good luck with your treatment and new beastie.
I'm a world-class swearer so do feel free to PM me too - we can swap sweary tips if you're bored one day! :D

PS I am over 18

I'm a cancer surviver (colon) and know how you feel as I have asked myself the same questions. A good friend of mine has had bone cancer as well. About 12 years ago I thought that she was "on the way out", but she is here, fit and well!! So you really need a lot of mental strength and positive attitude as well as your reason for survivial!! I took 12 monts "out" and my ponies managed very well. Then, after chemo, I had the best summer with my little mare! Several clinics and lots of fun rides!! I am sending good vibes your way and I look forward to future posts here from you. <<<hugs>>>>>
