Does anyone else have this make of clippers?

I have the Laube Lazor 555, I have always found them ok but today I started clipping my horse and I have ended up with him being half clipped!

I had had my two sets of blades sharpened before I started but they just weren't clipping very well, I thought perhaps it was due to my horse's coat being very thick? I kept having to stop and unclog the blades which I don't usually have to do. But then the blades just stopped moving? I tried putting new blades on but it didn't make any difference. On reading through the instructions it did mention about changing the lever, but I don't want to start taking them to pieces unless I really have to!

Has anyone else had a problem like this or can you suggest what the problem may be? My poor horse has a hunter clip one side and a full coat the other and he looks a bit of a wally!

Where did you get them sharpened? I had this problem with mine, not every sharpening company can do them properly because they are pre-tensioned and you need to know how to set them properly. MY OH reset the tension for me and then they worked perfectly.

Sounds like the battery might not be fully charged or the job is too much for them to me!
Mine hog my LW cobs mane every 3 weeks or so no problem, and clip his head/jaw all the time, and we use them in between times when clipping him out, to let the larger clipper's blades cool down.
Yours sound like they may need a service...

Ah yes I have these and have the same problem!!

I have just given up with them, I had them serviced and they came back the same. But I have just been lazy and assumed I killed them!?!

Sorry not much help, but mine did this and then found the whole interior had disintegrated, they literally fell to pieces in my hand. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend them , the plastic isnt sturdy enough to withstand the vibration on a reg basis.... I hope yours is down the tensioning.
