LAUNCH OF LIVERY YARD SURVEY

The survey page was infected with a virus that was putting spyware on users computers a few weeks ago, has this been fixed?
 
You are right to be cautions about surveys, however that is a serious statement considering (as far as I understand) this particular survey was only launched yesterday (18th)

The press release was sent to me from World Horse Welfare. The link attached to my original post is to the press release with the survey link in it. I have done this so people can read about the survey before deciding to take part.

There are a number of organisations and governing bodies involved with the survey related to Fridays press release.

“Representatives from the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA), World Horse Welfare, The British Horse Society, RSPCA, Association of British Riding Schools, South Essex Insurance Brokers (who currently insure a total of 8,562 DIY and livery stables), and for local government LACORS and CIEH, set up a working party to carry out some research into UK livery yards to become better informed about standards.”

Who were the originators of the survey you are referring to?

This survey was signposted in the last BHS magazine. When I typed the web address into my computer about 3 weeks ago it took me to THIS survey (with all the logos etc, looked exactly the same... I assure you it was the exact same survey with the same www address).

However the survey repeatedly failed to load completely and caused my computer to flash up a virus warning. I posted about it on here asking questions and was told by a techie expert that apparently the survey was infected with spyware.

I actually revisted the site about a week ago hoping the problem would have been fixed and was happy to see that it had been and that the survey worked fine. However, the survey DEFINITELY wasn't launched just yesterday, I filled it in about a week ago.

Dont think there is spyware on it anymore but there was when the survey was first launched.
Hope this clears matters up for everyone.
 
SW Whippet is spot on - the original survey was infected by a nasty virus. Thank god for Norton. Voices for horses, please can you confirm that it is now virus free rather than just "working"? Thanks.
