I have decided to teat myself to some new boots. I have had Muckboots for the past few years and like them very much but I fancy a change. I have had various rubbish experiences with "country" boots - all a load of rubbish I am afraid to say, I have narrowed the choice down to these two brands, so experiences please!!

Le chameau as long as you have slim legs as not over generous on width, personally don't get on with neoprene lined ones so just all tracks? With welly socks in winter

Can't do without neoprene - I get really, really cold feet! I am going for the men's ones with the zip as I have fat calves and can't even get most ladies wellies on!! Won't need to ride in them so don't mind chunky wellies!

Got a pair of Le Chameaus that must have been around the best part of ten years and still going strong. Can spend literally the whole weekend in them comfortably and would happily have them again. Not sure about how my calf size would compare to yours but most 'country boots' come up like normal wellies on me and these aren't 'fitted', of course, but are slim enough to be comfortable.

I've had both, the neoprene in the Aigles is thicker. I also have had problems with two different styles of Chameaus cracking then splitting across the top, level with the ball of my foot (I have never ridden in them which is what I've been asked when complaining). That said I know people who's Chameaus have lasted for years so perhaps it's the way I flex my foot. Both are very comfy but the Aigles seem to suit me better and were cheaper :)
