Hello,

Has anyone ever had an imprint left of the saddle pad after work? As in all the hatchings and the girth point part? With small fluid swellings, think it could be rubbing.

The saddle fits but is a temporary one while waiting for a new saddle. Thing is I like the pads and this has only happened recently so unsure if it's the wrong material for the horse. I'd like to buy a new one to fit her new saddle, different cut, but no point if it's the brand disagreeing.

While typing this I think I've solved my own problem, try it with a different pad and see if there's any lumps, which could mean it's the saddle causing it.. anyway any other experiences will be of interest and I will test a different pad tomorrow. That's if the winds died down.

Is it a new pad? I had this after using a brand new one on my notoriously sensitive horse for a 2hr ride. Second use it was no problem. I think my horse reacts to certain chemicals/detergents used on pads.

No not new, washed but been used since without a problem and her rugs were washed at the same time with the same detergent but didn't notice anything with them. Thanks though :)

I've never had anything as extreme as fluid filled swellings but the waffle-type Le Mieux pads always left an imprint on my horse. The new pads with the bamboo lining (therefore smooth) don't leave a mark at all.

Don't use them but there was a post on fb about someone who had used le mieux boots or wraps and they'd reacted with the horse's leg so it could be what Katpt says. However if it's already been worn before it sounds just like it's been sitting a bit off and caused a pressure point .
