Just having a little day dream about potential future boy friends for my TB (2yo) filly, grey in my sig pic. I want to add movement and expression, but keep the offspring fine, with plenty of blood and not tooooo big...... I like Le rouge and have seen vids of him under saddle, but does anyone have any pics/ vids of off spring?

I also liked the look of contis, but can find very little info on him and no vids etc???? What are his foals like?

Also any info on Guarda K offspring?

Thanks..... a girl likes to dream

I've got a filly from Le Rouge's first crop and she is absolutely gorgeous. She was champion Trakehner filly at the breed show in 2006, won her class in 2008 and was reserve champion youngstock (beaten by a horse a year older than she was) the same year. The German judges commented on how good her paces were and how she moved just like her sire so he does seem to be prepotent. He's been champion Trakhener riding horse for 3 years running (he's only 7 years old now!) and finished in the top 10 at the 6yo bundeschampionat so was doing flying changes and half pass at 6!

The very best thing about her is her temperament. She is an absolute diamond. Calm, easy, forwards and intelligent. I can't say enough good things about her and I've had a few young horses over the years! I've recently started lungeing and long lining her but don't have time to do this very often. Most youngsters would make no progress at all on the amount of work she gets: 15 minutes once a fortnight.

But this filly is reliably picking up where we left off last time and even improves between sessions. The very first time I asked her to walk over poles was a line of 5 trotting poles. A big ask for many youngsters but this Le Rouge baby just pricked her ears and marched on through.

If she is representative of his offspring (and last year at the stallion grading the assessors commented on how well behaved all his colts were, one of them went champion which is a huge achievement for a first season sire) then he may turn out to be an outstanding stallion. My filly has the most trainable temperament I've come across in a youngster and really outstanding paces.

This is her as a 2yo at the Trakehner show:

And this is her as an almost 3yo.

Wow, she's very smart...... and sounds fab! You must be very proud

One of he reasons I've been thinking about a potential covering/ AI is that my filly has an exceptional, trainable attitude and has done well in sport horse classes; I have no doubt in my mind that she'll make a lovely horse. She'll hopefully go eventing eventually- but i'd be breeding for myself to do a bit of everything, but would like the extra expression for dressage

I love Le Rouge, he is a pussycat in the stable and bigs it up under saddle

His colts at the grading in October where such a nice crop, really impressive. I love his pedigree too.

He is on my list to use when I can.
