That is very sad news at least they did not try to keep him alive just for the saKe of it and his suffering is now over. I have to beleive that Amy really di d not realise how serious the injury was and in the heat of the moment just didn't think. I hope she is truley sorry and devestated by what has happened as I just cannot beleive anyone would continue knowing the horse had such a serious injury.
I also hope that she does recieve some kind of ban or fine as regardless of what she felt or thought in the heat of the moment the FEI need to make it very clear this kind of thing should not be tolerated and should not happen at any level never mind with 4* riders.
However nothing will bring this horse back and if Amy has any shred of humanity she will be totally cut up by has happened and this will be for her to live with and no punishment will be worse than that.
A tragic end for a brave horse - I'm so sad for him .
I cannot condone his rider in any way - she is responsible for her poor judgment ( I'm trying to be polite here - actually I would like to see her give up & concentrate on her golf . )
