Inspired by another thread. Anyone know of any arena le trec in Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex & surrounding areas?
Have had a google but not found anything. Not sure I have the navigational skills for full le trec!!
Thanks in advance.

Indoor/arena TREC tends to happen in the winter rather than the summer. If you have a look on the Trec GB website or Trec4all you might find something going on but don't be put off by full Trec, it's very friendly and you can pair up with somebody for your first few events to learn the ropes if you want to.

I had never done it before last year and thoroughly enjoyed it as did my pony. It's really just hacking in new places with the help of a map.

Thanks both. Didn’t even realise they only did arena in winter (altho it makes sense!) so that shows my ignorance on this topic. Looks like fun tho!

Hi
No I haven’t thought of agility. I’ll take a look thanks. Basically I have a smashing new loan horse who can do anything (yep very lucky) and I’m looking to do some different stuff whilst I’m in this position. I’m terrified of jumping and would like to expand out from dressage, have some fun and grow my confidence!

Bit of a tangent but have you thought about horse agility as well? Its the obstacles phase alone - no POV and no orienteering. There are even on line classes if you want them. Here https://www.thehorseagilityclub.com/

I did Horse Agility with mine: there was a day where you could do both Indoor TREC and Horse Agility at the same venue: Vanessa Bee was there and I have to say that it was mindblowing just watching her - she was absolutely lovely, incredibly supportive, and "helped" people around with their horses, giving advice all the way. Even if you were just a spectator you would be able to learn such a lot. My horse got 10/10 on the trailer walk-through; which was a huge miracle bearing in mind that earlier in his existence we'd spent 2 hrs trying to get the blighter to put his feet on the ramp .....

First (ridden) agility session booked for next month 😱. I’m sure I should’ve thought about this before but do you jump stuff?! I’m too much of a scaredy pants to jump now!!
