We run a Nursery Stakes class for WH in our annual summer charity show. The ring is set up with tiny x poles and some greenery, perhaps one or two straight bar jumps and a little double. We allow lead rein riders in but they are HC (Hors de concours) however it does give rider and pony a chance to try these type of fences with the safety net of a leader. I hope you can run!
I should add we would expect the rider to be correctly dressed in cream jods, hacking jacket, shirt and tie and correctly fitted and in date hat.

Turnout as per any WH class, ie tweed jacket, shirt and tie, cream or canary jodhs and brown short boots. Pony should have plain tack and a dark pref brown numnah.

Leader at a posh show will have an fancy outfit matching the riders tweed, though at local level would get away with dark trousers paired with clean Dubarry/country boots and a hacking jacket or waistcoat on top.

HC means Hor concours, ie can go in the class but not considered for prizes.

IPS shows here have lead rein WH classes.
