In short, dont do it!! Went to fetch the girls in for their tea and halfway across the 10 acre field the herd took off, they both turned into graad national hopefuls and lifted their heads as high as giraffes, I slipped the headcollars off (wrong thing to do I know) and they took off like rockets....so i left them out with no tea as i was angry.......now feeling guilty even though they have shedloads of grazing, and I'll see them in the morning........

I have to say, I'm a real wimp and won't lead my two at the same time. One is an exmoor pony and one is a highland (two year old) and when they want to prat about they are VERY strong. I find it easier to deal with one temper tantrum at a time! As LBM says, at least you didn't have to catch the hyper pair before they strangled themselves on their headcollars.
