I mentioned that I still thatched, who does?

I also still use jute rugs and blankets if I've got anyone stabled...

What old stuff do you still find yourself attached to......?

Oh, my auntie still uses 'Straight's' when feeding......

(Meaning she mixes her barley, oats etc...)

Yup we still thatch the hunters.
I still prefer bandages to travel boots.
We use straights as we are based on a farm so we have easy access to barley and oats. The only thing we really buy from the feed merchants is sugar beet and chaff but if I could get them to invest in a chaff cutter we would be nearly self sufficient.

I remember the riding school/hunting yard I was on, sending us to the charity shops to pick up the blankets put aside for us! Owner used to call them end of August time, and we would take the pick-up (not me driving, was too young then) and off we would trot to fetch them....about 10p each or something!
