Does anyone use one to keep the yard tidy?

If so are they good? Which one do you have?

Would a petrol or electric one be better?

Thanks

Used to be on a yard at a posh house where the gardener used a jet wash to 'sweep' the yard. He reckoned it was more effective and doesn't use as much water as you might think plus it gives every thing a wash

We have one at work. No idea what it is, but it's petrol. I hate using it, I have a dodgy shoulder and having to blow the yard means that I have a bad shoulder for a couple of weeks again and can't ride properly. But anyway, it actually does a good job and as we use AquaMax bedding (dusty stuff) it blows all that away much better than sweeping would do. Only down side is the wet, as if you blow wet towards the stables it makes a terrible mess up the walls.
I wouldn't mind going back to sweeping, personally.

Yep, I've got one as I'm lazy! Got a Garden Vac, was about £50 I think, mine is electric, it has a really long cable but I have also have outdoor waterproof sockets on yard so easy to plug in.I looked at the petrol ones but they were really heavy and I'm not too good with mechanical things starting with me!
I blow all hay, flax and anything else lying about onto one corner and then vac it up. Simple.
My yard area is quite large so would take ages to sweep.
Would highly recommend.
