I don't won't to moan about the rain goodness knows we need it!

My stable has sprung a leak in the roof. We have got nothing to fix it with until tomorrow, and don't want pony to get soaked in his bed.

He has had his sheet on all day so that is wet, and his quilt maybe to hot and will also eventually let water in. So what would you do? Shall I just put him to bed in his sheet or risk him in his stable rug?

Just stick a turn out sheet on him! but try if at possible to check that the lead isn't likely to get a lot worse suddenly and make the stable dangerous!

Can I ask, why has your pony got a rug on at this time of year? can't he go out without one?

Leave his outdoor rug on him overnight - hopefully he wont stand under the leak all night, and then your outdoor rug will dry on him anyways.

- Some people have different views on how they keep there horses, aslong as the pony isnt sweating buckets in it, or isnt in any discomfort then its upto whoever when they keep rugs on really.

Sorry if it came over as if I was having a go!! I wasn't just like to see dirty horses enjoying a roll and being horses.
