Thoughts please

my friend has a youngster who constantly wants to have their bum on stuff when tied up. Doesn’t do it in the stable or field nor really in the hardstand but has to have their bum against something when not eating or playing. Not sure if it’s a boredom thing, a security thing or just a habit. Will even push up against horses or people but not in a nasty way and doesn’t kick or threaten.

Worming teeth and jabs up to date and not backed yet. No lameness noticed and not bothered about being poked and prodded.

I’m drawing a blank ?

That's a really odd one, has she done the sellotape test for pinworm?

Yes. It’s very strange. Tail gets rubbed a bit in summer but not drastically, heavy tail so probably just itchy/sweaty.

just seems to be putting the bum against everything, and I’ve never seen that before. Did think maybe tight hamstrings or stifle and was reluctant to have hinds be fully stretched out but may just be a youngster thing as didn’t understand? Happy to lift legs and throws some serious shapes out in the field.
