Good Evening,

I must confess that the main reason for taking up riding last year is to see myself in the hunting field one day.

The fact that tradition and history is still alive in this area, when diamantes are appearing in most other areas of the sport really appeals. :D

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for reading/watching around the area of hunting. Understanding why they do certain things in the field and where traditions have come from would be fascinating.

eBay is full of older books, such as: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fox-Hunti...658&pid=100015&prg=1006&rk=1&sd=280941608250&

Would that be a decent read?

Any advice is appreciated.

Kind Regards

Memoirs of a Fox-Hunting Man by Siegfried Sassoon, though not a factual book is an excellent and entertaining depiction of hunting in about 1890-1914. I'd heartily recommend it.
