Ok, ok my calves are officially fatty fatty boom boom and they won't fit into my leather boots. My boots do have zips, what can I do? Have elastic panels put in? Panels? Anyone have any bright ideas?? Thanks.

A good saddler should be able to remove the zip and replace with elastic.
Another option is to leave the zip intact and cut down the inside of the boot just as far as it needs to go to fit you (usually halfway down) and replace this with elastic.

I had this done to a pair of boots years ago - and it worked a charm. Didn't look very pretty, but once on the horse, it was fine. Thinking of having it done again to a lovely old pair of Cavallo's which I've had since I was 21 and skinny. Can get them on - just, but thought I was going to have to cut them off! Spent an hour trapped in them, getting increasingly panic stricken, until I hit on the idea of using the cat flap as a boot jack!
