ariat are still £200 !!! may as well the extra £50 and get the "rael ones".

I like the price of the dublins at around £70 but not really keen on the look.

I did see see some boots that were an exact ish match of dubarry but were £80 at a local agric show but didnt have my size!! so there are copies to be had

Hi there - I'm the one who added the post about Dubarry's yesterday. They really are lovely looking and very comfortable boots but it does seem that they really do not stand up to repeated exposure to wet - which is supposedly what they are designed for! If you just need them to wear around a yard etc., they may well be fine but the combination of water and heavy wear does cause them to crack, even with the most conscientious care!

I can't believe people have had problems with their dubarry's! I have had mine at least 6 years and love them to pieces. They have been dragged through hedge and stream and still look great! I have been to many wet music festivals in them to which they have been exposed to mud like you've never seen (think 15 hours straight wear in shin deep mud) and walked many a cross country course. Big thumbs up from me!

Hi there - I'm pleased that someone seems to rate them this highly! Reading between the lines, it does appear that the problem lies less with the amount of wet/mud exposure and is more to do with the frequency with which they get wet. Can I ask you whether you use yours occassionally or as an everyday boot? Also, how do you treat them?
