So I've been trying to smarten up my act a bit. I have accepted I cannot find long boots to fit my weird combo of wide broken feet, short skinny legs. So I'm trying some gaiters with boots that I know fit. Anyways I've found some tredstep I like that fit height and ankle wise but I have to stuff my calf in to get the zip up to the point I have slightly tingly feet. I know leather will give but my question is how much. I would like to feel my feet when riding I do feel this is important 😅

If they are the ones that look like suede chaps but in leather with elastic in a sort of ribbed pattern then they give with wear.
If they look more like the top bit of a long boot with a elastic insert besides the zip then they will not give any more than an equivalent top of long boot does.

They do give, I usually think if can get the zips up, however tight, then they will be OK in the end. Takes a while though.

I'd rather this than fitting straight away as you stretch them exactly to your shape. Worth it in the end 😆
