Hi all, would really appreciate any help on this. I have a gelding (7/8th TB) who has a very sensitive girth area. No medical reason. I have a frank Baines black leather and detachable sheepskin Atherstone girth which is perfect and he loves but.... Today i got a new jumping saddle and the girth is now too short arghh :-( they aren't made any more as far as I know so I cant find a new one to buy. So... Are there any similar girths out there (not dressage) ???
Thanks in advance :)

Hmm, not really sure. I saw a girth with sheepskin cover at my local market this weekend, wasn't a leather girth though. Perhaps you can find one on ebay? better yet, try buying a longer girth and see if the sheepskin cover fits it? assuming you can remove the sheepskin? There maybe something on ebay like that also, or maybe try Preloved. Also, have you tried Nylon instead of leather?

Thanks for your suggestions, I've been scouring ebay but no luck. There dont seem to be any alternatives so will prob end up with leather girth and girth sleeve. Was just trying to avoid that as the sleeves slide off then you tack up but Le Meiux have a Velcro one which looks good :)
