Hi,
have been offered a very nice second hand pair of leather boots, they fit like gloves once I have got them on, however, I have a high instep and geting them on is interesting to say the least (think vaseline - hopping around for 10 mins) I can get them off easily.

Does anyone have any ideas, is it possible to stretch them? Should I ask my local shoe mender, or do I just resign myself to saving up for new ones (and in the meantime put up with the comments at the bottom of the dressage sheets)?

Thanks!

i have the same problem... i can only have boots with laces/zips... hence the reason i always wear ariats/mountain horse boots

I'm afraid either field boots with laces at the instep or if you have zips professionally put in at the back are the only options for us high arched peeps!!

I once had my dad cut off a pair of rubber riding boots when I was a teenager as the blasted things would not come off my high arched feet (LOL, which I inherited from him!!).

I only wear Ariats now as those are the only ones I can get my feet in.
