I've always been a joddy boot girl but am planning to start doing local shows, dressage and cross country and apparantly at 34, long boots are more correct! hoping not to spend a lot but would love recomendations and ones to avoid.

I bought a pair of Sergio Grasso Vicenza boots at Burghley, they are like slippers however rather pricey... I tried on a pair of Mark Todd long boots too which seemed nice but didn't fit my short twig legs well enough.

iam the same love my joddie boots and just caint get on with long boots so ive got a pair of leather ariat chaps and with the jhodpa boots they look like long leather boots you caint tell the differance

Sergio Grasso Vicenza look lovely but the ones I saw are £375 which is alot more than I was hoping to pay.
Chaps are a great idea but i dn't think they would be suitable for showing.

I have a pair of Hawkins long leather boots and have no probs with them. I bought a 1/2 size bigger that my normal shoe size which (I think) makes them more comfy.
