Is it right to name and shame people?

So I have always had leather girths since I was little, it has never really crossed my mind to buy a synthetic girth when buying a new one (partly cos I have a leather saddle and I just think it would look weird) I have a sabre dressage girth at the moment with an elastic insert right in the midde rather than at the buckles. I love it but it's getting on in age and I would like to replace it (before it breaks!) so any recommendations? And how many ride in synthetic?

I have a leather saddle with a synthetic girth, just one of those cheap cottage craft types, with a furry cover.

Easy to just bung in the washing machine.

I have always had leather saddles leather girths.
However- bought a thorowgood girth a couple of years ago and love it- use it for hacking and XC as it is easy hosed down- leather ones take a lot of looking after, especially the ones I hunt in as they get wet, dry out, and can crack.

I always prefer leather girths - however there has been times when I've need a new one but been skint so brought synthetic. I'm not going into how much my last prestige girth cost

I nearly fainted when told!

my boy has leather saddle and a leather grith, but my girl has synthetic saddle and a leather girth because i was skint after the £1000 vet bill she cost me 7 days after i got her!!

I have leather saddle, synthetic good purely as it takes a lot less looking after, if you have been hacking in loads of mud etc. I have a throwgood one

I ticked leather saddle & leather girth but I do use an old fashioned stubben string girth in the summer sometimes....

No I totally agree, it just seems wrong to me! Money isn't really an object for a leather girth, I really jsut want one with a huge elastic insert but all the leather ones seem to only have it at the buckles

I might end up with synthetic to get what I want. Why don't sabre make that girth any more

Ideally leather saddle, leather girth. Provided you can afford it.

Leather saddles, string girths.

My driving harness..have a leather one that sits gathering dust...I love betathane and it's all I ever use.

I have both, leather saddle and leather girth for one horse and synthetic saddle and synthetic girth for the other. I will say though that although the Thorowgood is easily cleaned, etc etc because of the design it can catch on your saddle flap and ruck! Or is it only mine that does that?

I have leather saddle leather girth for showeing, and a differne tleather saddle and synthetic girth for everyday! I like the synthetic one it has elastic on both sides so its easy to pull up when your having a weak day!

Leather saddle, synthetic girth for dressage saddle and VSD saddle. For showing VSD saddle has leather girth. But for dressage just have the one synthetic thoroughgood girth which i find great
