Just wondering if any leather boots designed to give adequate protection for XC exist OTHER than the Sabre ones?

I love sabre stuff, but their eventing boots would drown Dan's skinny little legs! :o But he does need some good boots for XC/farm rides (he doesn't care about his legs, at all) and I'd rather buy some nice ones and spend a fair bit than cheap ones that fall apart and don't do the job, and I just generally prefer leather.

Any ideas?
If not - favourite synthetic ones?

Thanks :)

Lots of people seem to like prolite, and NEW equine do some nice ones :) I bought a pair of Premier Equine XC boots but they were a weird fit so had to send them back- they seem to be for more 'round' legs, not like my skinny TB! xx

Thanks :) I think one of my freinds has the NEW ones and they have a habit of slipping on her horse (why she keeps going with them, I don't know!) even when taped as well, so not convinced about those as I certainly need something that's secure - think loopy Tbx that brushes, doesn't realise he's breakable and likes to go 'through' jumps! Will have a nosy at the prolite ones now :)
