can anyone help,

we have no secure tack room up the yard, so I leave mine in my car a lot of the time, to ride after work ect..
anyway with summer setting in (I Hope!) the cars can get very hot. can anyone tell me if this is damaging at all?
I have a synthetic saddle and a leather bridle.
thanks

I would imagine the synthetic might soften a little so I'd try not to leave anything pressing against it, but then I'd forgotten that anyway, so...

Not to do with heat... but do check your insurance. My car insurance would not be enough to cover my tack and I genuinely don't know if my household insurance would cover it. I don't keep tack in a car so I never looked. But it just occurred to me as a possible problem - and better to find out sooner rather than later!

I keep mine in the car, and its fine.

I also check with my contents insurance, and it is covered under sporting goods.
